Teradrone and AirMobility Inc. Form Business Alliance for Social Implementation of eVTOL

Press Release

Tera Drone Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Touru Tokyshige; hereinafter referred to as Tere Drone) and AirMobility Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hisashi Asai; hereinafter referred to as “AirMobility”) have decided to form a business alliance to quickly realize the social implementation of eVTOL.

(Background and purpose)
In recent years, the term “air mobility revolution” has become popular in newspapers and on Television.
If air travel becomes more accessible to people, it could change the way cities are built.
It is said that eVTOL, which do not need runways, will be able to travel the shortest distance “from point to point” without being bound by existing infrastructure.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is the industrial revolution that we are facing in the 21st century. Until recently, the ability to travel freely in the sky was thought to be an eternal dream for mankind. With the appearance of the eVTOL, this dream is about to become a reality.
On the other hand, drones have been spreading at a dizzying pace in recent years. In the future, it will be essential for eVTOL to be linked with drones and to coexist in the airspace. Now, Terra Drone’s “Terra UTM” and Air Mobility’s “ASCP (AirMobility Service Collaboration Platform)”, which are strong in their respective fields, will collaborate with each other to proactively lead the “air mobility revolution”.

In the field of inspection, we collaborated with Terra Inspectioneering, an overseas group subsidiary with more than 200 cases of experience mainly with major oil and gas companies in Europe, and introduced inspection technology using a patented UT (Ultrasonic Testing) drone.
In the field of operation management, we will develop “Terra UTM,” an operation management platform essential for realizing a drone society, in collaboration with JAL, TEPCO, KDDI and others.
